Retail Sales Manager
Location: Banff, Alberta
Job Description:
The successful candidates will be expected to formulate and implement long-term goals and sales strategies for up to 20 full-time and part-time employees. You must also have strong verbal communication skills, and be willing to take a "hands-on" approach to working within a dynamic, changing work environment. Acting as an intermediary between ownership and sales staff, you will have the opportunity to establish and nuture links between yourself and ski and snowboard industry suppliers, swimwear suppliers, as well as footwear and outdoor adventure gear suppliers, with the objective of implementing creative sales seminarts and ongoing training programs for your staff members on a year-round basis. In addition, you will be expected to provide motivation for the rest of your staff members by being availble to sell during all of the peak sales times.
Requirements
Preference will be given to individuals that exhibit the following traits:
- Proven success in retail sales management
- Previous education with a particular emphasis on small business
- A practical working knowledge of outdoor skiing and snowboarding footwear, apparel and equipment
- Tourism Industry background
- Superior salesmanship
- Open-minded, honest approach to sales
